and a huge pair of glasses...
her hand was gripping the edge of Bree Despain's The Lost Saint...
as she was being abused verbally by those heartless boys in her school..
she walked straight up to the library...sat on the last bench in the row with her tearing eyes...
all she was saying to herself was it will be better soon or later...
she took a thick notebook from her sling bag and start journaling her thoughts...
all she jot down was...
. why am i not perfect?
. why do my voice isn't sweet or calm to be heard?
. why am i not having straight and silky hair like those girls?
. why am i over-sized?
. why my body is undesirable?
. why are they ridiculing my braces?
even if one of this question popped into our minds we feel insecure within a second....imagine how this girl would've felt...
There are some tips on how you can overcome insecurities ...
- you have to stop judging yourself....
Judging yourself isn't right....this will eventually lead you to depression...do this instead... get a slow lesson on how u should embrace yourself...learn to accept your flaws ...beauty isn't about looks....its all about what you heart practices...or the beauty u have within...
- quit comparing yourself with another...
comparing yourself will never get you peace...never compare your ability with one another...everyone is special in their own way ...too common but true...comparing will cause your insecurities to hype up and drag you down to depression...girls ...its serious
- have good remarks about your good traits...
have good remarks on yourself...this will often help you to enhance your self confidence...being happy about your kind acts...practicing good habits and being satisfied with your good nature is vital to uplift your confidence in either way...
- be grateful of what you have right now...
many out there have nothing compare to what you have right now...your mental might be stable... be grateful...you have good shelter....yes be grateful...you have food , water, clothes and a war free zone...be grateful and enough of what you have now...
- be polite to negative criticism....
try not to take negative criticism too serious...or else it will effect your mental stability...just ignore and accept the fact that everyone in this sphere has a flaw...rational souls wont pin point it too obvious...where the ones without rationality will state it without any common sense...smile and let it go...there are people will love you and accept you the way you are...
- practice hygge to surround you with good vibes....
hygge...i know most of ya'll find it hard to pronounce it...hygge is a danish word meaning cozy...there are many tips are tricks on pinterest to get yourself all hygge...getting cozy and embracing yourself with a warm tea and a blanket during rainy days is one of the example of to calm yourself and surround with good vibes...or even lighting up a lavender scented candle can calm your stress waves... get good vibes to surround you to trash over thinking about your insecurities...
- pray...
praying is the most effective way to make you feel light instantly...there are loads of thoughts aching our brain...where it gets heavier day by day... imagine pouring all to one person...wow..hence...as we pray ... we must believe that the Almighty is hearing our prayers and will answer it according to His will and purposes...telling God what you are facing...all those trash thoughts will vanish instantly as we tend to tell Him...praying is also the best way because you might feel uncomfortable to share things to people...So,praying actually works...Trust me...
- have a minimalist lifestyle...
yes minimalism...practice to only pursue what you need ...not what you want and desire...needs might be less...and wants might pile up in the lust of our eyes and thoughts....getting yourself to practice minimalism might throw all those piled up trash and thoughts in your head...being sure of what you actually need in your life might help you to overcome insecurities and uplift your degraded confidence...the desires will never satisfy...but your needs do...it will make you feel you have enough to survive...
